currently seeking candidate to fill
the vacancy of Park Ranger at
Higgins Ferry Park. A basic outline

External Contacts: General
Public; Emergency Personnel
Provide security for park
facilities. Manages and maintains
county park facilities; coordinates
use of pavilion and grounds, cleans
and maintains structures, grounds,
and equipment. Performs other
duties as required.
Schedules and reserves use of
Collects pavilion use and
overnight camping fees.
Coordinates park usage for
special county events.
Orders supplies and products
for park facilities.
Implements and organizes
special events to be held at the
Reports to County Commission,
at least quarterly, as to the
progress and plans for the park.
Removes trash from park area.
Mows grass, operates week
eater, trims shrubs and trees as
Maintains picnic area
equipment and pavilion; performs
basic painting, carpentry and
Maintains and cleans
restrooms and shower facilities.
Orders and stacks required supplies.
Operates light and medium
equipment in maintaining park
grounds and facilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and writing
skills. Must be able to effectively
and efficiently communicate with
other county employees and elected
officials, as well as the general
